Regularly cleaning your Everhot will keep it looking as great as the day it was delivered, and you won’t need much effort to keep it looking tip top. Always wipe up spills as soon as possible, so they don’t get cooked on. I would recommend a damp cloth or e-cloth. Make sure you avoid too much water as the Everhot is electric and avoid all abrasive cleaning materials!
Cleaning the Everhot hotplates
These essentially clean themselves as they are hot and burn off spills. Liquids will evaporate and solids will carbonise and can then be wiped with a damp cloth. You can remove stubborn residue by lightly rubbing with a fine wire brush.
Cleaning the Everhot simmer plates
These don’t clean as well as the hotplates as they don’t get hot enough to burn off spills so to clean turn them up occasionally to the hotplate temperature.
Cleaning the Everhot ovens
The ovens, like the hotplates, are largely self cleaning and the majority of spills will carbonise. It’s a good idea to sweep out the oven bases now and then but turn them down so they can cool off first.
Cleaning the Everhot doors
Lift off the oven doors and lie them face down on a soft tea-towel or cloth to prevent scratching. Clean the interior of the doors
Cleaning the Everhot Control Panel
Use a damp cloth, well wrung out, to wipe the surface of the Everhot control panel now and again.
Cleaning the Everhot oven trays
You can remove the Everhot oven trays and wash up by hand or place in the bottom rack of a dishwasher. Or try using Barkeeper’s Friend®.
Cleaning your Everhot’s exterior surfaces
Use a warm, soapy cloth to clean the exterior enamel surfaces of the Everhot such as the outside of the doors and cooker. Remove spills before they get cooked on and will be harder to remove. Do not use abrasive cleaners or caustic cleaning products eg CIF®, Astonish®, Mr Muscle® etc. For really stubborn stains try a paper kitchen towel soaked in some fresh lemon juice (not squash!).
Cleaning aluminium panels
The inside panels over the induction hob is aluminium and should only be cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or caustic cleaning products eg CIF®, Astonish®, Mr Muscle® etc. For really stubborn stains try a paper kitchen towel soaked in some fresh lemon juice (not squash!). You can purchase splashbacks to protect the inside of your lids from grease and cooking stains.
Cleaning mirrored and grained stainless steel surfaces
Use a warm, soapy cloth or a dampened mildly abrasive Spontex® Brilliant scourer before spills have cooked on. If spillages are cooked on to the grained stainless steel surfaces (e.g. hob tops) sprinkle some Barkeeper’s Friend® spray or cream onto an abrasive pad and rub in the direction of the grain to remove any stains. (The longer spills are left the harder they are to remove).
Clean the inside of the Everhot lids when they have been open for a while (so they have cooled sufficiently). Under no circumstances use abrasive materials on the mirrored surfaces.
Some do nots!
- Do not use abrasive cleaning materials on stainless steel, enamel or polished surfaces
- Do not use excessive water when cleaning
- Do not use a steam cleaner to clean your Everhot
- Do not leave spills to get cooked on so they are difficult to remove
